Killing My World

from Rat Patrol by Rat Patrol

lyrics

You taught us to be humble and obey, but at the same time you took our resources away. Your lust for money is out of control, my world, my earth, you’re killing the whole. First you sent us priests, because we were uncivilized – your own beliefs were never criticized. They told us ‘love your neighbor like you love yourselves’, but do you love ‘thy neighbor like thyself’? Now you send us chemical waste, I’m sure even God would have lost his taste. You even say it helps our economy, your love for us I call blasphemy. You’ve got no respect for nature’s gift, as long as your economy is in the lift. The air your breathe, the water we drink, why the godfucking shit don’t you think. Instead of learning from our culture, you try to destroy it, just like a vulture. Maybe it’s because you’re afraid of losing your materialistic-consumers-profit-making (Lyrics: Henry; Music: Jansel/Rat Patrol)
